Italy wins WBSC Blind Baseball International Cup

Italy has won the WBSC Blind Baseball International Cup 2026, defeating Cuba 10-4 in the final held in Castiglione della Pescaia. The Italian team, managed by Marco Corazza, secured the title through a series of late-game comebacks.

Despite Cuba taking an early lead in the second inning and regaining a 4-3 advantage in the fourth, Italy responded with a decisive five-run fifth inning fueled by four hits and two Cuban errors. The Italian offense was led by Napoli, who recorded four hits and four RBIs, and Oliveri, who went 5-for-7. Italy closed the game in the sixth inning to secure the championship, avenging their loss in the 2024 tournament.

Cuba finished the tournament as runners-up after an undefeated run through the group stages and a semifinal victory against Chinese Taipei. Great Britain claimed the bronze medal after defeating Chinese Taipei 9-2 in the third-place match.
