Cuban baseball teams announce rosters for 65th National Series
Teams are finalizing rosters for the 65th National Baseball Series in Cuba.
Industriales, the defending IV Elite League champions, announced a roster of 29 players at the Latinoamericano stadium. Notable additions include outfielder Lázaro Armenteros, who was previously signed by the Oakland Athletics, and catcher Brayan González. The team is currently awaiting the inclusion of three additional players expected to be contracted abroad. While some players are recovering from injuries, officials indicate their participation in the series, scheduled to begin October 4, is not in jeopardy.
Villa Clara is also preparing for the upcoming season with a roster focused on strong pitching and defense. Manager Ramón Moré highlighted the team's potential to return to elite status, bolstered by players returning from foreign leagues in Italy and Japan, including Randy Cueto, Osdany Rodríguez, Cristian Rojas, Darío Sarduy, and others. The squad features a mix of experienced veterans and talented younger players such as Leonardo Montero and Osman Caruncho.
