A Cuban woman known on TikTok as Yadi posted a video from Cancún International Airport showing her tearful farewell to her three children as they returned to Houston after a two‑month visit. Yadi, who was deported from the United States and now lives in Mexico, described the moment as "the greatest pain imaginable" and highlighted the broader immigration crisis, noting that between January 2025 and March 2026 the U.S. deported nearly 13,000 third‑country nationals to Mexico, with Cubans comprising the largest group.

Separately, Cuban influencer Flor Danay Hernández Ochoa, who posts as "Flor de Cuba," responded to accusations that she had abandoned her children in Cuba while living in the United States. In an Instagram reel she sarcastically showcased her teenage son’s birthday celebration at the Meliá Varadero hotel, using irony to challenge critics and argue that physical presence alone does not define motherhood.
