Cuban music artists announce new projects and performances

The Cuban urban music scene sees significant activity with the announced return of the duo Chacal x Yakarta and a major performance by Ronkalunga.

Chacal x Yakarta are set to release ‘Babys On Fire’ in 2026. The project features seven new tracks, including ‘Desierto’, ‘Me Solté’, ‘Aire de Pelota’, and ‘Qué Rico’. Produced with DJ Conds, the album aims to blend the duo’s original urban style with contemporary sounds. Each song in the collection will be accompanied by its own music video.

Meanwhile, singer and composer Ronkalunga is scheduled to perform at The Fillmore Miami Beach on August 21. Following the release of his album ‘La Chiva’, produced by Emilio Estefan, the artist will present a show centered on traditional Cuban rhythms with modern influences. Ronkalunga recently gained industry attention after sharing the stage with Ricardo Arjona at the Kaseya Center.
