Cuban President Miguel Díaz‑Canel outlines defense and 2026 economic‑social priorities
Cuban President Miguel Díaz‑Canel told press that the United States is pursuing a “multidimensional aggression” that complicates everyday life for Cubans. He said the government must respond with a “War of All the People” and intensified preparation of the territorial defence system.
He also presented the “Economic and Social Program for 2026”, which was debated publicly last year. Díaz‑Canel noted that the plan incorporates proposals from popular consultations, expert input and even artificial‑intelligence analysis, drawing lessons from China and Vietnam. He emphasized that creativity, unity and the nation’s revolutionary spirit are essential to overcome the crisis.
