Cuban triple jumper Leyanis Perez lands 15.06 m personal best in Monaco

On July 10, 2026, at the Herculis EBS meeting of the Diamond League in Monaco's Louis II Stadium, Cuban world champion Leyanis Pérez won the women's triple jump with a personal‑best 15.06 m, breaking the 15‑metre barrier for the first time.

She beat Senegal’s Saly Sarr, who posted a 14.99 m personal best for silver, and Olympic champion Thea Lafond of Dominica (14.79 m) for bronze. Fellow Cubans Davisleidy Velazco and Liadagmis Povea placed fourth and fifth respectively, underscoring Cuba’s depth in the event.
