Cubana Chief Priest threatens legal action against Ebonyi lawmaker

A political dispute has escalated in Ebonyi State between businessman Pascal Okechukwu, known as Cubana Chief Priest, and state officials. The conflict began after Okechukwu released a video calling for the resignation of Governor Francis Nwifuru, criticizing the lack of major commissioned projects in the state during his nearly three years in office.

In response, lawmaker Chinedu Ogah defended the Governor’s performance, citing scholarship programs and infrastructure projects. Ogah further accused Okechukwu of financial misconduct and called for an investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) into alleged money laundering.

Okechukwu has denied these allegations, claiming Ogah is a “hit man” sent by Governor Nwifuru to attack his reputation. He has threatened legal action against the lawmaker and challenged him to provide evidence for the claims.
