Cuenca and Guadalajara face nearly 100 incidents due to heavy storms
Severe storms in the Spanish provinces of Cuenca and Guadalajara have resulted in nearly 100 reported incidents. Emergency services have managed over 546 alerts across the autonomous community under the METEOCAM specific risk plan.
In Cuenca, 63 incidents have been recorded, while Guadalajara has reported 32. Most issues involve water accumulation, localized flooding in buildings, and obstacles on roadways. While affected roads have largely returned to normal, yellow weather warnings remain active due to the potential for intense local rainfall and hail.
Authorities have advised residents to exercise caution while driving, avoid crossing dry riverbeds or ravines, and secure outdoor items at home to prevent damage from flooding or runoff.
