Cuenca closes Silvia Lara heated pool due to technical failure

The Cuenca City Council has ordered the immediate closure of the Silvia Lara heated swimming pool following a technical failure in its water purification system. The breakdown has forced the suspension of all free swimming sessions and lane reservations to allow for repairs to the water circuit.

The closure disrupts a planned staggered maintenance schedule intended to ensure the city maintained access to heated water during the summer. The resumption of services depends on the completion of disinfection and filling works currently being conducted at the Luis Ocaña sports complex.
