Spain judicial rulings: convictions for assault, smuggling, and domestic violence

Various judicial rulings have been issued across Spain involving criminal offenses. In Granada, a man received a two-year prison sentence for sexual assault, threats, and coercion against a woman he had met earlier that weekend.

In Huelva, a man was sentenced to nine months in prison for assaulting a healthcare worker at the Bonares health center. The worker was acquitted of injury charges after the court ruled he acted in self-defense during the altercation.

In Almería, the Provincial Court sentenced a boat pilot to over four years in prison for smuggling 15 Algerian migrants in dangerous conditions, which resulted in one passenger suffering burns. In Ceuta, two men were sentenced for housing migrants in garages for up to 900 euros.

Other rulings include a man in Sagunt convicted of domestic violence and threats against his partner, and a man in Cuenca who was acquitted of coercion charges regarding a non-existent debt.
