Cuenca hosts 25th Puente a Puente canoeing regatta

The 25th edition of the ‘Puente a Puente’ canoeing regatta will take place on Sunday, August 30, on the Júcar River in Cuenca. Organized by the Club Piragüismo Cuenca as part of the San Julián festivities, the event has reached a record participation level with 210 paddlers from 14 clubs across Spain, including representatives from Madrid, Galicia, Comunidad Valenciana, and Castilla-La Mancha.

The competition begins at 10:00 AM on a closed circuit of calm waters located between the Puente de Los Descalzos and the Puente de San Antón. The course consists of several laps that vary depending on the competitive categories. Local officials and club leadership presented the event, inviting residents to watch the competition from the Recreo Peral area.
