Cuenca hosts blood donation drives across seven locations in September

Seven locations in the Cuenca region will host blood donation drives throughout September 2026. Organized by the Consejería de Sanidad, the mobile collection points are scheduled as follows:

• September 2: Honrubia (Casa de la Cultura) • September 10: Landete (Centro de Salud) • September 14: Huete (Edificio La Merced) • September 15: Villanueva de la Jara (Centro de Día) • September 24: Tarancón (Centro de Especialidades) • September 28: Alberca de Zancara, La (Centro Médico) • September 29: Cañete (La Serrana)

To donate, individuals must be at least 18 years old, weigh over 50 kg, and be in good health. The process includes a medical screening involving pulse, weight, blood pressure, and hemoglobin checks to ensure safety for both donor and recipient. While fasting is not required, it is advised not to donate immediately after a heavy meal.
