Cuenca local holidays proposed for 2027
The Cuenca City Council is set to review a proposal for the 2027 local holidays for the municipality's rural districts. The proposal, initiated by the Permanent Information Commission, includes patron saint celebrations and religious festivities for various population centers.
Specific proposed dates include San Antonio and San Bartolomé for Cólliga, and San Juan Bautista and Virgen del Carmen for Colliguilla. Nohales has proposed San Aniceto and Cristo de la Salud, while Tondos suggests San Miguel and moving the Assumption of the Virgin to the next business day. Valdecabras and Villanueva de los Escuderos have also proposed dates involving San Isidro and the Assumption. La Melgosa and Mohorte are expected to share the holiday schedule of the capital city, which includes the Virgen de la Luz on June 1 and San Mateo on September 21.
