Cuenca man sentenced to 19 years for high-scale drug trafficking

A criminal tribunal in Cuenca has sentenced Tommy Stick M., known by the alias ‘Toreto’, to 19 years in prison for high-scale illegal drug trafficking.

According to the State Attorney General's Office, Stick M. used his residence in the San Joaquín parish to store, dose, and sell cocaine. The investigation began after anti-drug agents observed the suspect exchanging a package for money with a client.

During a raid conducted on October 4, 2025, by the National Police and prosecutors, authorities seized 395 grams of cocaine from a wardrobe in the second floor of the residence. Additional evidence seized included an electronic scale, plastic bags for packaging, and a magazine containing ten cartridges. The sentence was issued based on the Organic Integral Penal Code (COIP) regarding high-scale trafficking of controlled substances.
