Spain regional politics: PSOE and PP clash over housing and education

Various regional political disputes are unfolding across Spain, primarily involving the PSOE and the Partido Popular (PP). In Andalusia, the PSOE has accused the regional government of blocking 137 million euros intended for public housing, a move that complicates the execution of the State Housing Plan 2026-2030.

In Castilla-La Mancha, political tensions persist as the PP criticizes regional President Emiliano García-Page, while local disputes arise in Cuenca regarding the management of public buildings and in Torre del Bierzo over water supply works. Meanwhile, the region is implementing digital transformation initiatives in schools, focusing on robotics and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.

In Lorca, security has become a central issue, with the PP demanding increased police presence and the PSOE proposing a local pact for coexistence. Additionally, several autonomous communities, including those governed by the PP, have rejected the central government's Strategic Plan for Inclusive Education.
