Cueva Pintada hosts Luis Diego Cuscoy photography exhibition
The ‘Arqueología de la mirada’ exhibition is being held at the Cueva Pintada Archaeological Museum and Park in Gáldar from September 1 to September 24. Organized by the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage of the Government of the Canary Islands, the showcase features the photographic archive of Luis Diego Cuscoy (1907–1987).
Cuscoy was a central figure in the history of archaeological research in the Canary Islands. The exhibition highlights his lesser-known work as a photographer and humanist, revealing his observations of people, territories, and landscape transformations. Beyond archaeology, Cuscoy was an educator, historian, ethnographer, and anthropologist.
