Cuiabá healthcare facilities report significant service volumes

Public health facilities in Cuiabá, Brazil, have reported substantial service numbers across various specialized departments. The Centro Médico Infantil (CMI) has recorded over 91,000 procedures since its opening in December 2025, including medical consultations, dental services, and emergency pediatric care. The unit utilizes a risk classification system to prioritize urgent cases.

The Hospital Estadual Santa Casa has performed 35,817 surgeries and over 670,000 outpatient consultations since the state of Mato Grosso assumed administration in 2019. Following the acquisition of the building for R$ 30 million, total state investment in the facility has reached R$ 95 million for maintenance and structural reforms.

Additionally, the Espaço de Acolhimento à Mulher at the Hospital Municipal de Cuiabá (HMC) provides 24-hour confidential support for victims of violence. This specialized space has conducted 3,687 outpatient services and psychosocial visits, offering medical, psychological, and legal guidance to women in need.
