Cuiabá City Hall issues R$ 1.9 million bonus to education professionals

The Cuiabá City Hall, through the Municipal Education Secretariat, has implemented the ‘Pix de Valorização dos Profissionais da Educação’ to recognize education workers. The initiative involves an investment of over R$ 1.9 million into the local economy.

Under the guidelines of Complementary Law No. 578/2025, teachers and Early Childhood Development Technicians (PEI) are receiving a R$ 200 bonus. Other education technicians, including Caregivers for Students with Disabilities (Cads), are receiving R$ 100. Notably, Cads are included in this year's benefit following their direct hiring by the municipal management, whereas they were previously outsourced.

The benefit is restricted to staff actively working in school units, nurseries, and child centers. Approximately 500 professionals working at the Municipal Education Secretariat headquarters are excluded, as are employees on medical leave or those not performing in-person duties on the commemorative date.
