Cuiabá City Hall provides emergency aid after arson attack

The Cuiabá City Hall has mobilized social assistance teams to support a family in the Residencial Altos do Parque neighborhood after their home was destroyed in an arson attack on Saturday morning. The family, consisting of a mother and her three children aged 13, 8, and 3, reported that the fire was allegedly set by the woman's former partner, who fled the scene and remains at large.

Hélida Vilela, the Municipal Secretary of Social Assistance, Human Rights, and Inclusion, confirmed that immediate emergency aid was provided, including food baskets and milk to ensure food security. The family is also receiving medical referrals and ongoing monitoring through the municipal protection network (CRAS and CREAS). Additionally, authorities are processing the mother's inclusion in the Ser Família Mulher program, a social rent benefit for women victims of violence, in partnership with the State Government.
