Cuiabá Civil Police headquarters nearing completion for November opening

The construction of the new headquarters for the Mato Grosso Civil Police in Cuiabá is entering its final stages, with inauguration expected in November. Located in the Administrative Political Center, the five-story building covers nearly 9,000 square meters and is designed to accommodate approximately 300 employees.

The project will centralize administrative areas, directorates, and coordinations. The new facility is four times larger than the current headquarters and is expected to reduce rental expenses while providing modern workspaces.

The R$ 30 million investment was made possible through a Conduct Adjustment Agreement (TAC) involving the State Public Ministry and the Judiciary. These funds originated from investigations into a business group that admitted to active corruption within the administration of former governor Silval Barbosa. This integrated effort by various state agencies, including the Inter-institutional Asset Recovery Committee (CIRA), has previously enabled the return of over R$ 554 million to state public coffers.
