Cuiabá Contorno Leste road construction advances

Construction on the Contorno Leste in Cuiabá is progressing through September, specifically on the stretch between Avenida Fernando Corrêa and the Rio Coxipó. The works involve approximately 25 workers and ten machines performing earthmoving, drainage, and the installation of complementary structures such as sidewalks and storm drains.

The 17.3-kilometer project is designed to connect Avenida Fernando Corrêa, near the Industrial District and BR-364, to Rodovia Emanuel Pinheiro (MT-251). Once completed, the avenue aims to serve as a connection axis between the South, East, and North regions of Cuiabá, potentially benefiting 300,000 residents.

While the concrete bridge over the Rio Coxipó is already finished, the project has faced delays since its start in 2021. According to municipal inspection, these delays were caused by slow expropriation and compensation processes, project adjustments, and various site interferences.
