Cuiabá Council Approves Dwarfism Test Adjustment and Permanent Career Fair

The Câmara Municipal de Cuiabá passed a measure to adapt the physical‑aptitude test for public‑service candidates with dwarfism. The proposal, presented by council president Paula Calil, modifies the test to assess real capacity without unnecessary obstacles and moves to the mayor, Abilio Brunini, for approval after a second‑round vote.

In the same session, councilor Katiuscia Manteli’s bill establishing a permanent Municipal Fair of Professions and Careers was approved. The fair will be held annually, preferably in September, to connect high‑school students with universities, technical schools, companies and professionals, helping them make informed career choices. Manteli said, “The right information transforms the moment of deciding the next steps.” The event now joins Cuiabá’s official calendar and will be organized through public‑private partnerships.
