Cuiabá expands access to free health and sports services

Cuiabá is implementing various community-focused initiatives providing free health, beauty, and sports services. Through a partnership between the City Hall and the Fecomércio-MT System, mobile health units from Sesc and Senac are operating in the Pedra 90 neighborhood. These units, which will remain until November 19, offer dental care, vision services, and women's health screenings, including mammograms and Pap smears. The initiative aims to provide approximately 100 daily appointments to local residents and commerce workers.

Additionally, the Cuiabá Municipal Secretariat of Sport and Leisure is running the Escola da Comunidade project. This program utilizes approximately 20 municipal schools to offer free sports and leisure activities, such as football, capoeira, and functional training. The project serves roughly 2,000 people, providing evening classes to accommodate working families and improving community well-being.
