Cuiabá expands urban greenery through Rede Verde project
The Rede Verde project in Cuiabá has planted over 8,000 seedlings to increase urban vegetation and combat high temperatures. Led by Councilwoman Dra. Mara, the initiative aims to prepare the capital for climate challenges, such as intense heat and low humidity, by creating more shaded and comfortable urban spaces.
As the president of the Environment Commission, Dra. Mara advocates for integrating environmental preservation with urban development. The project seeks to establish permanent public policies for the maintenance and expansion of green areas across all regions of the city to improve long-term quality of life.
