Cuiabá homicide linked to prison inmate order

A man was killed in Cuiabá following a targeted shooting at a stadium. According to Military Police, two suspects entered the venue through the rear and opened fire on the victim, who was accompanied by his wife. While the victim died at a municipal hospital, a man and a woman sustained minor injuries during the attack.

After the shooting, the suspects fled but were intercepted by citizens and subsequently apprehended by the Military Police. The suspects confessed to the homicide, claiming the victim had been monitored for four days. They stated the hit was ordered by an individual held at the Pascoal Ramos Prison and alleged the motive was related to a financial scam against a criminal faction.

Police seized a 9mm pistol with suppressed numbering and a .32 caliber revolver during the operation. Authorities are investigating the claims regarding the prison-ordered hit and the involvement of criminal organizations.
