Cuiabá implements monthly pest control in municipal health units

The Cuiabá City Hall, through the Municipal Health Secretariat (SMS), is conducting monthly pest control services across its municipal health network. These permanent actions include disinfestation and deratization within secondary care units, such as Emergency Care Units (UPAs) and Polyclinics.

In August, the procedures followed a specific schedule covering several locations, including UPA Verdão, UPA Leblon, UPA Morada do Ouro, UPA Pascoal Ramos, and Policlínica Pedra 90. The initiative aims to ensure sanitary, safe, and comfortable environments for both patients and staff while preventing health risks.

Municipal Health Secretary Deisi Bocalon stated that these continuous monthly efforts are essential for maintaining adequate conditions for service delivery. Additionally, Deputy Secretary of Secondary Care Odair Mendonsa noted that these pest control measures are part of a broader routine of structural maintenance and reforms intended to improve service quality.
