Cuiabá maintains triple viral vaccine availability in 72 health units

The Municipal Health Secretariat of Cuiabá is maintaining the availability of the triple viral vaccine across 72 Family Health Units (USFs) to protect against measles, mumps, and rubella.

While no measles cases have been recorded in the city to date, health officials emphasize the importance of keeping vaccinations up to date to prevent transmission. According to Ministry of Health data, the 2026 vaccination coverage in Cuiabá stands at 85.35% for the first dose and 68.26% for the second dose.

The vaccination schedule begins at 12 months of age with the first dose, followed by a second dose at 15 months. Health workers, particularly those in pediatrics or working with immunocompromised individuals, are also encouraged to ensure their own immunization status is current.
