Cuiabá implements teacher training to improve municipal student learning

The Cuiabá Municipal Education Secretariat has completed a week of continuous training for professionals within the municipal school system. The program targeted early childhood educators, literacy teachers, and instructors working in Learning Recomposition Rooms.

Focused on improving pedagogical practices, the training aimed to enhance student learning, particularly in Portuguese and Mathematics. The initiative seeks to address learning gaps and help students consolidate essential skills necessary to keep pace with their peers.

In partnership with the ‘Um Giro pela Aprendizagem’ program, the training was led by author Paulo César Magri, who provided methodologies for teaching complex subjects such as fractions. During the closing session, the team presented the ‘Destaque IDEB 2025’ publication to Education Secretary Reginaldo Teixeira, emphasizing the importance of monitoring educational indicators to improve teaching quality.
