Cuiabá launches employment drive with 200+ jobs for people with disabilities
The municipal government of Cuiabá began a three‑day employment program called EMPREGA PCD – Potencial Sem Limites, offering more than 200 exclusive vacancies for people with disabilities. Organized by the Secretariat of Labor and Entrepreneurship together with the Secretariats of Accessibility and Social Assistance, the event ran from July 8 to July 10. Activities were held at the CIAC in Praça Alencastro, where companies such as Promofood, Transportadora Carvalima, Hospital São Mateus, Votorantim, Amazônia Petróleo and others presented openings across health, commerce, industry, logistics, food service and other sectors.
On July 9 a parallel hiring fair for the general public added 62 immediate‑hire positions from Frango Belo and FIMM Brasil. The program concluded on July 10 with a "Caravana do Trabalho" at the CRAS CPA, where a municipal van provided on‑site registration, resume assistance, professional counseling and information on training courses. Transportadora Carvalima said it would accept as many candidates as possible, allocating the seven openings based on each applicant’s profile. Municipal labour secretary Nivaldo de Almeida Carvalho Junior emphasized that the initiative aims to bring opportunities closer to citizens, promote inclusion and boost the local economy.
