Cuiabá Mayor Abilio Brunini’s Administration Reaches 53.9% Approval in Latest Survey
A survey by the Instituto Veritá shows that the administration of Cuiabá mayor Abilio Brunini increased its popular approval from 51.8% to 53.9%, while the overall rating rose from 5.01 to 5.19.
Education received the highest marks, climbing to a score of 5.80, and the municipal school meals program was rated 6.26. Waste collection topped the public‑service rankings with a 6.81 rating after the city fully regularized the service using GPS‑tracked trucks and a real‑time heat‑map monitoring system.
Other areas that improved include civil defense (5.66), leisure (5.22) and water supply and quality (5.89). The survey identified the main challenges as sanitation and environment (4.28), transparency (4.40) and public transport (4.42).
