Cuiabá offers free Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense classes for women

The Lutadoras Program in Cuiabá offers free Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense classes to women, aiming to provide tools for personal safety and increased confidence. Executed by the Municipal Women's Secretariat with support from the First Lady's Office, the initiative includes 32 classes distributed across 17 different poles in the city's South, North, East, and West regions.

At the Beira Rio pole, located at the Military Police base, participants learn specific techniques such as the armlock to create opportunities to escape potential aggressions. Beyond physical defense, the program is designed to promote mental health, physical well-being, and social interaction among participants.
