Cuiabá opens registration for Municipal Council of Cultural Policy elections

The Cuiabá City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat of Culture, has opened registration for the election of representatives to the Municipal Council of Cultural Policy (CMPC). The election will select one titular member and one substitute for each of the eight artistic and cultural segments for the 2026-2028 biennium.

The eight segments included in the process are: visual and digital arts, audiovisual, music, performing arts, popular culture, folklore and crafts, books, reading and literature, Afro and indigenous Brazilian culture, and historical-cultural heritage.

Registration is open from September 30 to October 7, 2026. The election will be conducted virtually via an official platform. To qualify as a delegate, candidates must provide personal documentation, a curriculum proving at least one year of artistic or cultural activity, and proof of residence in Cuiabá for at least 12 months.
