Cuiabá pharmacy robbery leaves child shot

An 11-year-old child was shot during an armed robbery at a Drogasil pharmacy in the Goiabeiras neighborhood of Cuiabá on Thursday afternoon. According to police reports, the criminals intended to steal a stock of Mounjaro weight-loss medication but were unsuccessful, instead fleeing with cash from the register.

The Civil Police, through the Specialized Robbery and Theft Station (Derf), arrested two suspects in flagrante. One suspect, aged 20, was apprehended in Várzea Grande with a .32 caliber revolver, ammunition, stolen money, and the getaway vehicle. A second suspect, aged 37, was later identified and arrested after confessing to the crime and recognizing himself in security footage.

The suspects face charges of aggravated robbery and attempted robbery followed by death (latrocínio). Authorities are continuing investigations to locate a third accomplice who reportedly waited in a vehicle to facilitate the group's escape.
