Violent incidents reported in Philippines and Brazil
Multiple violent incidents have been reported across the Philippines and Brazil. In Zamboanga City, Philippines, a shooting at a school affiliated with Ateneo de Zamboanga resulted in two deaths, including a 9th-grade student and the shooter. Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has ordered an investigation into the campus violence.
In Brazil, several homicide and domestic violence cases have emerged. In Cuiabá, authorities are searching for Fabiano Oliveira Borges, suspected of the feminicide of 20-year-old Ana Cristina Pacheco Matos, who was shot in front of her three-year-old son. Other reported crimes include a fatal stabbing of a 14-year-old in Encantado, a shooting involving a suspect in Blumenau, and various domestic violence incidents in Botucatu and Palmitos.
Additionally, investigations are ongoing in Lagarto regarding the deaths of a couple found in an apartment, and in Sangão, where a student died of asphyxiation during a dispute with her partner.
