Cuiabá secures defender Gilmarcos and reports player evolution

Cuiabá is strengthening its roster through both youth acquisitions and player development. The club has confirmed the transfer of defender Gilmarcos from Clube Atlético Votuporanguense (CAV). Gilmarcos, a standout from CAV’s Under-17 squad, will join Cuiabá’s Under-20 team.

Additionally, Cuiabá midfielder Calebe has noted significant technical and tactical evolution since returning to the club in 2025. Currently playing a versatile role as a central defender in a 3-4-2-1 system under coach Eduardo Barros, Calebe is focused on the club’s push for promotion in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.
