Cuiabá Vice-Mayor Vânia Rosa addresses potential leave of Mayor Abílio Brunini

Cuiabá Vice-Mayor Vânia Rosa stated that a potential 15 to 30-day leave of absence by Mayor Abílio Brunini would have a limited impact on the municipal administration. The mayor is considering stepping aside temporarily to support his wife, Councilwoman Samantha Iris, during her campaign for a seat in the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso.

Rosa noted that such a short period would be insufficient to implement significant changes or leave a personal mark on the government. She described the mayor's recent communication regarding the possibility of leave as a preliminary inquiry.

Additionally, the Vice-Mayor criticized the current administration's stability, citing frequent changes in secretaries and deviations from the original campaign platform. She also expressed interest in establishing more autonomous functions for the vice-mayor's office.
