Culiță Sterp releases new song about married life, while Andreea Ghițiu celebrates Maramureș folk

Romanian singer Culiță Sterp unveiled a new track that humorously depicts the daily life of married men. His wife, Daniela Iliescu, shared a video of herself listening to the song in a car and reacting to its lyrics, which include lines such as “Așa e când ai nevastă / Nu mai poți să ieși din casă.” Sterp also commented on a recent rise in divorces, noting that several wedding bookings for August had been cancelled because of the trend.

In a separate cultural release, singer Andreea Ghițiu presented a four‑song collage inspired by the traditions of Maramureș. The project, created with the National Folkloric Ensemble of Transylvania, showcases folk motifs and was filmed at the Museum of Ethnography and Popular Art in Baia Mare. The songs address themes from village life, love, and humor, highlighting contemporary appreciation for Romanian heritage.
