Culiacán Zoo introduces African lion Tiki to public exhibition

The Culiacán Zoo has officially added Tiki, a four-year-old male African lion, to its public exhibition. The announcement was made by Zoo Director José María Casanova Rodríguez on World Lion Day.

Tiki, who weighs approximately 150 kilograms, arrived at the facility on January 28 from the state of Guanajuato. His transfer was managed by the Federal Attorney for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA).

Before being cleared for public viewing, the lion underwent a specialized period of observation and adaptation to ensure his health and behavioral stability in the new environment. Zoo officials reported that his evolution has been positive and that he is currently in good health.
