Culinary events showcase Italian and South Tyrolean specialties in Germany
Various culinary events are taking place across Germany, highlighting regional Italian and South Tyrolean flavors.
In Böblingen, the 17th Culinary Delights from Alba will be held at the Kongresshalle from November 6 to 8. Organized by the Famija Albèisa association, the event features traditional Piedmontese cuisine, including Vitello Tonnato, Tajarin, and Plin pasta, paired with regional wines such as Barolo and Barbaresco. Approximately 80 volunteers from the Italian partner city of Alba will participate. Visitors can choose between a fixed festive menu or a self-service option, and a Bottega will sell regional products including white truffles, cheese, and sweets.
Additionally, the ‘Südtirol by the Glass’ tour is running through November 8, featuring seventeen restaurants, hotels, and wine bars across Germany. The tour aims to showcase South Tyrolean wines through diverse culinary interpretations. Participating locations include high-end establishments in Hamburg, Berlin, and Dresden, as well as regional venues in Mittenwald and Marburg, offering curated menus that pair local and international dishes with South Tyrolean wines.
