Culinary highlights feature Lisbon street food and Algarve seafood

Portugal's diverse culinary scene is highlighted by distinct dining experiences in Lisbon and the Algarve. In Lisbon, Addiction Modern Street Food, opened in 2024 by Yasmine Van-Dúnem and Ricardo Manita, offers a sophisticated take on global street food. Located near Avenida da Liberdade, the restaurant features an intimate atmosphere with decor by PichiAvo and serves fusion dishes such as lobster gyozas and pulled pork Berlin donuts.

In the Algarve, the family-run restaurant O Lourenço in Salema continues a tradition dating back to 1998. Managed by second-generation owner João Lourenço, the establishment focuses on fresh fish sourced daily from Sagres and Lagos. The menu features regional specialties including fried baby squid, tempura of soft-shell crabs, and a traditional fish soup priced at 4,50€, based on a recipe from the family matriarch, Aldina Lourenço.
