Krk hosts 20th annual Days of Figs festival

The city of Krk is hosting its 20th annual Days of Figs festival, running until August 30. The event celebrates the Mediterranean fruit through a program of gastronomy, heritage, and creativity.

Fourteen local restaurateurs are participating, showcasing the versatility of figs in both sweet and savory dishes. Featured culinary offerings include a smoky burger with figs, baked figs with brie and Krk prosciutto, and fig crumbles using traditional imbriagon biscuits. Other participants are serving items such as fig crostata, fig ice cream, and deer medallions in fig sauce.
