Cullera hosts global rice biennial featuring Michelin-starred chefs

The III Bienal Mundial del Arroz is set to take place in Cullera, Spain, from October 15 to 18. This edition of the event aims to elevate rice to the level of haute cuisine, featuring participants with ten Michelin stars. The biennial will facilitate a dialogue between creative high cuisine and traditional rice culture, involving renowned chefs, researchers, and local rice producers.

During preparatory activities for the World Paella Day in Valencia, Uruguayan chef and entrepreneur Manuel Reyna highlighted the quality of seafood from his home region. While participating in a masterclass, Reyna stated that “Piriápolis has one of the best mussels in the world,” using the occasion to promote the natural products of the Uruguayan coast.
