Cult Gaia presents Spring 2027 collection at New York Museum of Natural History

Los Angeles-based fashion brand Cult Gaia presented its Spring 2027 collection, titled ‘Behesht’, at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. The presentation took place on September 9, one day ahead of the official CFDA New York Fashion Week schedule.

Designer and founder Jasmin Larian Hekmat developed the collection as an exploration of grief and celebration following the death of her grandmother. The collection, named after the Persian word for heaven, utilized themes of organic beauty emerging from harsh landscapes to represent resilience. The runway featured whimsical, grass-covered hills as a backdrop.

In collaboration with TRESemmé, celebrity hairstylist Karim Belghiran created custom looks for the show. Inspired by the concept of a ‘dream girl on a dream day’, the styling included ‘infinite knot’ hairstyles and ‘whisper wave’ looks designed to evoke a sense of whimsical freedom.
