Cultura na Praça project brings cinema workshops to youth in Pará and Maranhão

The Cultura na Praça project has completed eight editions, traveling over 25,000 kilometers to provide free cinema workshops to more than 400 young people across various locations in Pará and Maranhão. The initiative focuses on providing tools for youth to tell stories rooted in their own lives and territories, covering technical skills such as scriptwriting, direction, photography, and editing.

To date, the project has produced 50 short films, which are available for free on the culturanapraca.art.br platform. The initiative is supported by Vale through the Federal Law for Cultural Incentive (Rouanet), in partnership with Instituto Tatajuba, Vivas Cultura e Esporte, and the Ministry of Culture.
