Cultural and charitable events scheduled across Bulgaria
Several cultural and community events are scheduled to take place in Bulgaria on October 30.
In Burgas, the State Opera will host “Wild Roots,” an innovative musical project directed by Dimitar Hristov. The concert aims to present Bulgarian folklore through a modern lens, blending a symphony orchestra and choir with traditional instruments such as the gaida and tambura.
In Plovdiv, a free concert titled “Salute, National Awakeners!” will be held at the Roman Stadium. Organized by the Municipal Chitalishte Union, the event commemorates the National Awakeners' Day and celebrates 170 years of the chitalishte movement in Bulgaria through folk music, singing, and dance performances.
In Dobrich, a charity concert titled “Doing Good is Easy!” will take place at the “Zahari Stoyanov” Youth Center. Organized by the Libervox and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Foundations, the event aims to raise funds for the social enterprise “Chudnata Gradina.” The proceeds will support the enterprise, which provides employment for people with disabilities, following funding challenges related to European programs.
