Cultural and charity festivals scheduled in Czech Republic

Various cultural and charitable events are scheduled to take place in the Czech Republic this Saturday.

In Sokolov, the 18th National Minorities Day will be held at the Old Town Square. The event features music, dance, and cuisine from diverse cultures, including Mongolian, Romani, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Slovak, Russian, Vietnamese, Azerbaijani, and Kyrgyz traditions. Highlights include Mongolian throat singing and a parade of traditional Vietnamese clothing. The celebration coincides with Miners' Day.

In Černošice, the second annual 'Nejste v tom sami' festival will take place, serving as a Czech-Ukrainian charity event. Organized by the Army Support foundation and other initiatives, the festival aims to raise funds for Ukrainian defenders. The program includes performances by Ukrainian cadet choirs and veterans, workshops on making camouflage nets and trench candles, and demonstrations of military technology such as drones and 3D printing. Attendees can also enjoy traditional Ukrainian cuisine.
