Cultural and community events announced in Ostrava and Police

Two distinct cultural and community events are scheduled in the Czech Republic.

In Ostrava, the 28th International Mounted Police Meeting will take place this Saturday, August 29, at Komenského sady. The event features 22 horses and riders participating in three disciplines, including a cross parkour. Participating teams include municipal police from Ostrava and Prague, as well as police units from Brno, Zlín, and Liberec. International representation includes officers from Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia.

Additionally, the Small Puppet Festival will visit Police Castle on September 4 and 5, 2026. Organized by the town of Moravský Krumlov, the festival will host two theatrical performances: Divadlo APROPO on Friday and Divadlo Na cestě on Saturday. The event aims to combine theatrical storytelling with the historical atmosphere of the castle for families and children.
