Cultural and educational initiatives for youth launched in Romania

Various cultural and educational initiatives for youth are being launched across Romania. In Reșița, the ArtVibe Cultural Association and the Banat Montan Museum have introduced a photography competition titled ‘The Museum in My Neighborhood’. Aimed at children and teenagers aged 7 to 18, the contest encourages participants to capture unique perspectives of the museum and its surrounding architecture using cameras or mobile phones. AI-generated or manipulated images are prohibited. Winners will be announced on September 22, with an awards ceremony and exhibition scheduled for September 25.

In Dolj, the ‘Alexandru and Aristia Aman’ County Library hosted the first edition of the Creative Education Academy as part of a collaborative project between Vratsa and Dolj. Nearly 140 children participated in modules covering creative writing, digital painting, musical composition, animation, and interactive projects. The program aimed to combine traditional creativity with digital tools and artificial intelligence. Public voting for animation and visual arts projects created during the academy is currently underway on the library's website.
