Cultural and gastronomic events scheduled in the Balearic Islands

Several cultural and gastronomic events are scheduled in the Balearic Islands. The Fosquets Lithica Festival will feature a performance by the Mediterranean roots music group Figues d’un altre paner at the Pedrera dels Tarongers. The concert includes a collaboration with the Radicel·la dance company and musician Moisès Pelegrí, blending traditional music with contemporary dance and critical perspectives on historical and feminist themes.

In Palma, the MarisGalicia gastronomic fair is set to begin on September 11 in the Nou Llevant area. The event aims to host over 25,000 visitors, bringing approximately 40 tons of fresh seafood from Galicia to Mallorca. Offerings include lobster, goose barnacles, langoustines, and octopus, alongside traditional Galician dishes like empanadas and rice. The fair will feature a large tent with dining areas and traditional rituals such as the Saturday night 'queimada' ceremony.
