Cultural and gastronomic festivals announced in Italy

Several cultural and gastronomic events are scheduled in Italy for late September 2026.

In Cusano Mutri, the 46th Sagra dei Funghi will take place from September 25 to October 18. Themed ‘Funghi. Un regno in connessione’, the festival focuses on the mushroom's role within the Matese ecosystem. The event will feature traditional gastronomy, art installations, video mapping, and exhibitions such as ‘Reti Naturali / Reti Artificiali’ and ‘Metabolismo Rurale’.

In Campobello di Mazara, the inaugural CusaFest will be presented on September 30. This new literary festival aims to connect literature with local territory and history. The initiative follows the town's designation as a ‘Città che legge’ (City that Reads) by the Ministry of Culture and will include educational components for local high school students.
